Getting Started with your
New Zikra Audio Tube Amplifier

How to set up your new tube amplifier – and create the perfect environment around it.

These are your steps before turning on

Before turning your new Zikra Audio amplifier on, we recommend that you visit the website of the tube manufacturer Emission Labs and register the tubes. This gives you a 5-year warranty.

There is a 10-year warranty on all Zikra Audio amplifiers, but no warranty on the tubes.

When assembling the output tube, notice that there are 2 thick and 2 thin legs.

Placing the amplifier

As the amplifier generates heat, it is important that it is surrounded by plenty of air. At the same time, you must be aware that there is a distance between the amplifier and other devices so that they do not affect each other electromagnetically. This may cause hum or degrade the sound quality in general.

Connecting speakers

On the back of the amplifier there are three speaker terminals and a single input for RCA connectors.

The speaker terminal closest to the RCA is 0, the middle one is 4 ohms, and the last one is 8 ohms.

"The signal-carrying parts – transformers, tubes, etc. – will sound better and better over time."

If you use cables equipped with WBT connectors, they should not be fastened very tightly, as this can damage the connector. Tighten only gently.

Give time – and enjoy

For the best possible sound, the amplifier should be switched on approximately 30 minutes before listening and switched off if not used for a few hours.

In terms of sound, you should expect your new amplifier to change a little, as the signal-carrying parts – transformers, tubes, etc. – sound better over time. Expect this break-in period to last approximately 100 hours.

After these few preparations, you can pour yourself a cup of coffee or a glass of red wine, sit back and enjoy the seductive soft tube tones that fill your listening room. It’s heavenly.
